MUSE COMPETITION, 3rd April 2010
 Here are for my LLA Journal project.
I'm writing in about my experience of my First Performance and Competition, for
being in, ITE Concert Band.Before joining in the band, i had to go through Audition to be in the Band.
I joined Concert band as my CCA in ITE, because, my passion is to perform and my interest
towards my assigned instrument, back in Secondary school, 4 Years ago.
It was 2nd April,
when we had our Music Masterclass with a Tuba Professional Player at,
ITE COLLEGE WEST, CLEMENTI.
We had to report at ITE COLLEGE EAST at 2 PM in the Afternoon to take all
our Instruments at Cemta, right above the Cafe 1 in school.After loading the instruments to the buses,
Vrooooooooooooooooom! off we Gooooooooo!!!!!!!!
     
We reached ITE COLLEGE WEST, CLEMENTI after 45 minutes of traveling.
After that, we were assigned to classrooms of each different instruments for
the Masterclass. My Masterclass tutor is the Professional Tuba Player in Singapore.
i'm so glad that i had my experience meeting someone very good in playing his
insturment like him. Besides that, i had my class together with 3 different types of country,
which is from, Malaysia, Thailand & China. They speak their language, even though we can't understand, we try to pick up whats the best from them.
We learn, how to do Lip Slurs, Tongue-ing, and some Fingering Exercise.
The masterclass ended after 3 hours of practicing and having fun.
At 7pm, we are dismissed from ITE College West.
We had to rest early as we are having our Competition, the next day.
3rd April,
THE DAY!
We had to wake up real early for this very important day, which is,
MUSE COMPETITION.
the Piece we are playing is, Music From Within, Star Of Dreams & Overture No. 1.
our time slot for the competition is at, 3.45pm,
We reported at ITE College West Clementi at 10 AM in the Morning, to get our instruments,
And off to Singapore Conference Hall.we had a very long waiting time till our Competition slot.My heart was beating very fast, and that day, all i could think was just, play good, perform, and not thinking about what kind of award we are going to get.
it was 3.45pm when we started our First note of the, bFlat note in the hall.
It was heart throbbing because judges were looking and observing what we are doing and playing, but, for the whole 3 songs we played, We Enjoyed Ourselves.
and, happy about it.
After our Competition Slot ended, we bow to the judges & audience and walked off the hall.
After that, We had our free time till our Results.
I interacted with alot of new friends, we exchanged E-mails, so that
we can get in touch even after this competition program is done.
7 PM, Our Results.....
we waited patiently, and they announced,
ITE CONCERT BAND, SINGAPORE,........................................SILVER!.
i was happy indeed, that we clinched a silver award in the competition.
and some of the members was crying, to think of it, it might be the Tears Of Joy.
:) after the results, all of us went back to ITE College East, Simei, to returned the instruments back, and after that, the members faces, looked tired, and, we are, Dismissed.
